5 displaced in Marietta multi-family condo fire, officials say

MARIETTA, Ga. — Five people were displaced after a fire damaged a multi-family condominium in Marietta on Tuesday morning, according to Cobb County Fire and Emergency Services. 

Fire officials say around 10 a.m., multiple engines responded to a four-unit condo in the 900 block of Whittington Parkway near Austell Road. Upon arrival, crews located one unit showing heavy fire and quickly worked to extinguish the blaze. 

The fire was able to be contained to the unit of origin; one unit sustained heavy fire damage, and two units had smoke damage from the fire. No one was injured in the incident. 

Cobb County Fire officials say the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
