GAINESVILLE, Ga. -- A multi-vehicle crash involving a fuel-tanker shut down a major highway in Gainesville and left one person seriously injured.
The crash happened around 8:00 Monday morning at Queen City Parkway at West Ridge.
Police said 10 to 12 vehicles are involved in the crash. Eleven people were taken to Northeast Georgia Medical Center. One victim is seriously injured.
The intersection remains closed and police investigate. Police said it appears the fuel tanker failed to come to a complete stop as it approach the other vehicles.
