A mother's frantic call to 911 now has child protective services investigating her actions hours earlier.
According to the Hall County Sheriff's Office reported that around 8 p.m. on Monday, the mother of a 3-year-old boy called reporting that she'd accidentally left the boy in her locked car for roughly 3 hours.
First responders rushed to the scene and took the toddler to Northeast Georgia Medical Center where his condition wasn't released though authorities described him as stable.
The child's mother, who hasn't been identified in the initial release from Hall County, called to tell 911 operators that she had dropped off her other two children at their grandmother's house but discovered that the toddler never got out of the car. She said he might have fallen asleep on the ride over.

Operator: Is this your son?
Mom: Yes. [crying]
Operator: how old is he? '
Mom: [crying]
operator: Listen
Mom: he's three years old
She tells the operator he was left in the car about three hours.Later in the car, you hear the mom he is drinking water.
Operator: Has he spoke any, has he cried at all?
Mom: He is just opening his mom for more water
Operator: Has he responded to you all? Has he said mom at all?
Mom: No. He's just opening his eyes a little more and drinking more water.
Now, the Georgia Division of Family and Children Services is investigating the incident. Hall County authorities said they don't have any information about charges against the mother at this time.
