Atlanta United 2 move to new home next season

The MLS Cup champions affiliate will move from Coolray Field to Fifth Third Bank in Kennesaw.

LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. — Atlanta United 2 are packing up and leaving Lawrenceville after one season.

In a statement released today, the team said that they will be moving to Fifth Third Bank Stadium in Kennesaw.

The team is making the move to better develop the brand.

Vice President of Business Operations Catie Griggs said “We are extremely grateful to everyone at Cool Ray Field, the Gwinnett Stripers and Atlanta Brave organizations, Gwinnett County Sports Commission and all our Gwinnett-based fans who made our inaugural campaign memorable.”

Stripers' General Manager said, "We enjoyed sharing Coolray Field with Atlanta United 2 and are sorry to see them go. We are excited for the upcoming Gwinnett Stripers baseball season, and look forward to hosting other unique special events and activities that bring joy to the great people of the Gwinnett and surrounding counties."
