Police investigate 10 cars stolen from Roswell dealership

Authorities believe there are multiple people behind the crime - and they're hoping surveillance footage, however grainy it might be, will help bring them in.

ROSWELL, Ga. -- A grainy screen capture from a local car dealership may be one of the strongest clues in the theft of 10 cars in early August.

At lease one suspect is on the run and police are hoping the public can help them make an arrest.

On Aug. 6, Roswell officers were called to Used Import Autos at 442 Atlanta Street to a report of forced entry and burglary. Owners later found 10 cars had been stolen and a preliminary investigation suggests the offenders busted in from the Chattahoochee Street side of the dealership.

Security cameras captured one of those suspects on camera but there is still little detail about who was behind the mass theft. Authorities are asking anyone with information the crime to call Detective O. Jones at 770-640-4473.

On a related note, a spokesperson for the department confirmed one person has been apprehended in a car theft at another Roswell car dealership, Palmer Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram on Alpharetta Highway.

Antonio McCrary was arrested for burglary in connection to that incident. However, despite the similarity between the two crimes, he has not been connected to the Used Import Autos thefts.
