The USA TODAY Sports/Amway Coaches Poll didn't change much from last week, with only one program getting booted from the top 10 (West Virginia).

But this will likely be the proverbial calm before the storm, with Rivalry Week just a few days from launching.

Alabama, fresh off its first-half 'scare' versus The Citadel, has its customary spot at No. 1, followed by Clemson, Notre Dame, Michigan, UGA, Oklahoma occupying the next six slots.

The biggest riser of the week: Pitt, the ACC Coastal champs, who cracked the top 25 for the first time (up eight spots).

The greatest tumble during this period: On the heels of its 36-3 loss to Notre Dame, Syracuse dropped seven spots to No. 19.
