DOUGLAS COUNTY, Ga. — A vehicle fire in Douglas County had all of I-20 closed for a period Wednesday morning, with backup reaching into Cobb County.

It was unclear if there were injuries in the fire. It happened just before Lee Road.

Traffic cameras showed backup stretching as far back as Riverside Parkway. As of roughly 11:30 a.m., one far left lane was allowing traffic through.

The Georgia Department of Transportation 511 account tweeted: "There is a vehicle fire on I-20 W before Lee Rd. leaving all lanes blocked. Avoid travel in this direction and use alt. routes. #ATLtraffic #DouglasCounty."

A GDOT estimate had the situation clearing around noon.
