The Atlanta Police Department is investigating the scene where a pedestrian was hit and killed on the interstate Friday night.
Police confirm that a 56-year-old man was killed after being struck by three vehicles near the McDaniel Street exit on I-20 on the west side of the city.
According to police, the victim was hit around 7:30 p.m. Friday. They are not sure how the man got on the interstate, but they do know that he did not have a vehicle. All vehicles involved remained on the scene.
Police reopened the ramp connecting westbound I-20 to the Downtown Connector around 9:30 p.m.
