TIMELINE | Snow covers roads in parts of Georgia

Winter weather could impact travel and cause power outages.

11Alive's StormTrackers are tracking the winter weather. Snow began to fall Saturday in Rabun County. Other areas are also dealing with snowfall causing slick spots. . 

Winter weather will lead to travel impacts and power outages. 

A Winter Storm Warning was issued in Habersham, Dawson, Union, Lumpkin, Towns, White, Stephens and Rabun counties until noon on Monday.

A Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect for Fannin, Gilmer, Pickens, Hall and Banks counties until  Monday at noon.

Here's the timeline for low temperatures and precipitation for the upcoming days.

SUNDAY NIGHT

Travel will be nearly impossible at times in northeast Georgia due to road conditions and blowing snow.

Power outages have already been reported in some areas. Flooding streams and rivers are also possible.  Only light precip with some snow/rain mix is possible late Sunday into early Monday.

MONDAY

Rain showers may mix with snow on Monday morning for much of north Georgia. Roads are expected to remain slick in the morning as temperatures stay near freezing in far north Georgia.

The main concern is the refreezing of any snow that has already accumulated in northeast Georgia. 

TUESDAY 

The sun will finally come back with temperatures in the lower to middle 50s.
