Police seeking to identify suspect, victim after shooting at gas station in Stone Mountain

Officers said several shell casings were found at the scene, but no victim was located

STONE MOUNTAIN, Ga. — Gwinnett County police are looking to identify a man accused of firing several shots at a person at a Stone Mountain gas station last week. 

On Jan. 16, around 8 p.m., a witness called 911 in reference to a person shooting in the parking lot of the Shell Gas Station located at 5260 Stone Mountain Highway. Officers arrived and spoke to a witness who stated a man got out of a black BMW and then started shooting at a person inside the vehicle. Surveillance video obtained by police from the convenience store shows a person in the backseat getting out to get into the front seat when shots began to ring out. 

Police were unable to locate a victim of the shooting, but officers obtained several shell casings and observed damage to one of the gas station awnings.
