ATLANTA — A pedestrian was hit by a car early Tuesday morning on Northside Drive near Downtown Atlanta, according to police.
The Atlanta Police Department said officers responded to the scene "in reference to an auto accident involving a pedestrian." The exact cross-street of the incident was not available, though it appeared to happen before North Avenue.
Police said the pedestrian was taken to the hospital. Their exact condition was not known, but they were described as "not alert or conscious" but breathing at the time they were transported.
"The driver of the vehicle remained on scene and is speaking with officers," police said.
