Kaitlyn Ross is the Lead Enterprise Reporter at 11Alive News.

She is a one woman show, meaning she shoots, writes and edits all of her own material.

Kaitlyn is focused on community based stories in Atlanta, and the impact they have on the people who live here.

In 2022, Kaitlyn was honored to be named "Reporter of the Year" by the Georgia Association of Broadcasters. She has won regional Emmy and Murrow Awards for her reporting in Atlanta.

Kaitlyn joined 11Alive News from our sister-station in Jacksonville, Florida. During her three years in Jacksonville, Kaitlyn uncovered government corruption, discriminatory education practices, and flaws in the child welfare system. Through her reporting, Kaitlyn was able to help change state law and protect children in the sunshine state.

Before coming south, Kaitlyn started her journalism career in her home state of New York. Working in a few newsrooms upstate, Kaitlyn was a bureau chief, morning reporter, and political reporter. While she misses the people in New York, she certainly doesn't miss the winters, and is thrilled to be reporting in Atlanta.

Kaitlyn is a graduate of Syracuse University's Newhouse School, and is still an enthusiastic fan of the Orange!

Outside of work, she enjoys getting outside with her family, playing pickleball, and volunteering her time with child welfare and animal rescue organizations.

She is a Board Member of Star-C, a nonprofit working to advance equity and safety for children across Atlanta. She is also a Board Member of The Children's Advocacy Centers of Georgia, a statewide nonprofit supporting the victims of child abuse and advocating for justice.
