Kristie Anderson is the Managing Editor of Daily Content for 11Alive in Atlanta, Ga. She is a Chicago native and joined the 11Alive team in October of 2012.
Kristie seeks out stories to help connect our community, focusing on the greater impact and solutions to problems. Her passion for news started at a young age, fueled by her grandma’s involvement with political campaigns in Colorado.
“My grandma showed me the importance of paying attention to what’s happening around you, looking beyond just yourself. What can you do to help people who don’t have a voice?” Kristie explains.
Kristie went on to earn a bachelor’s degree in communication from Luther College and a master’s degree in mass communication, specializing in journalism, from the Walter Cronkite School at Arizona State. Before moving to Atlanta, Kristie was a producer at KTVK in Phoenix and WDJT in Milwaukee.
She enjoys walking Cochran Shoals with her family and dog, reading, traveling, and shamelessly obsessing over fashion blogs.
