Big television, music names come from small town Cartersville

Who do you know from Cartersville? Chances are, more people than you think, even if you haven't been there.

CARTERSVILLE, Ga. --Who do you know from Cartersville? Chances are, more people than you think, even if you haven't been there. The small town has made a big contribution to music and television. We will start by saying hello to the man famous for the way his neighbor told him, "Hello."

Wayne Knight is from Cartersville. The "Seinfeld" star went to school there and played lineman on the high school football team. Later he went on to learn lines as an actor, playing off that famous sitcom phrase, "Hello Newman."

The pace in Cartersville isn't exactly rock n' roll, but one of its natives sure can keep a beat. Lynyrd Skynyrd's drummer and founding member Bob Burns is from Cartersville. So is Butch Walker. He even sings about it in a few of his songs.

It may not be a town known for celebrity, but those with stars in their eyes and dreams of fame need to only look back on these famous natives to see they too, can make it.
