DOUGLAS COUNTY, Ga. — Two teens from Atlanta are getting a chance at stardom on NBC's hit show "The Voice.
To celebrate the success of 14-year-olds Chelsea and Myla, New Manchester High School gathered Monday evening hold a watch party. They've made it to the semifinal!. Myla is a freshman at the school and is one-half of the duo Hello Sunday.
According to NBC, "Chelsea and Myla both grew up singing in school showcases. They met two years ago at a performing arts camp and were paired together because they were the youngest. After hearing how well their voices blended, they decided to officially become a duo."
They attended an artist development camp to sharpen their skills, and after posting some music videos online, they started getting requests to sing at local events.
Hello Sunday is on Team Kelly. They're making history on "The Voice" as the youngest duo ever.
This week's theme is "80's Week." The artists will perform duets of songs from the 80's.
As for the watch party, it's open to New Manchester High and Douglas County School System students only, the district said. It starts at 8 p.m. The school is located at 4925 Highway 92 in Douglasville.
"The Voice" airs on 11Alive. On Tuesday during the results show, three artists will be revealed as "safe" by America's votes. After these finalists are revealed, the bottom two artists will be eliminated, while the middle three artists will compete in the "Instant Save" for the last spot in the finale.
