ATLANTA — Cardi B has announced she will not appear at ONE Musicfest this weekend in Atlanta, where she was set to headline one of the city's largest festivals.
The rapper took to X to notify her fans of the cancellation, saying she had been recovering in the hospital from a medical emergency.
"It breaks my heart that I won't get to see my fans this weekend, and I really wish I could be there," she posted. "Thank you for understanding, and I'll be back better and stronger soon. Don't worry. Love yall."
She did not specify what the medical emergency was.
ONE Musicfest sent their prayers to Cardi and said it's working to find a replacement headliner on short notice.
Despite the hang-up, there are several other artists set to perform, including Jill Scott, Victoria Monet, Earth, Wind, & Fire, Fantasia and more. See the full lineup here.
Several changes have occurred leading up to this year's festival, including a venue change from Piedmont Park to Central Park in Atlanta.
In a statement shared earlier this month on social media, ONE Musicfest cited “challenging logistics and economics” facing the festival industry as the reasons for the sudden shift but did not specify why the event will no longer be held at Piedmont Park.
