AUSTELL, Ga. — It's the most wonderful time for fear! Six Flags Over Georgia is celebrating 30 chilling years of its annual Fright Fest, which features haunted houses, spooky live shows and nighttime roller coaster rides.

It starts on September 14 and ends on November 3. The 20-day event promises a scary, good time and something for people of all ages.

“As we celebrate 30 years of spine-chilling thrills, we’re excited to present an expansive lineup of immersive haunted experiences, including mazes inspired by two iconic horror brands, which will leave guests screaming for more," said General Manager Greg Fuller.

This year, in addition to Fright Fest, the park will bring back its family-friendly daytime fall festival, Kids Boo Fest, as well as an Oktoberfest food and beverage festival on weekends.

Plus, on September 21 and 22 only, the park will bring Beetlejuice to life in an end-of-day celebration. The one-of-a-kind event will transform the sky with a 10-minute show featuring eight custom animations synced with the iconic Beetlejuice theme music.

Park officials said they have "reimagined" one of their haunted houses for the milestone year and added a new live show to their Fright Fest lineup.

Here's a complete list of the park's new and returning attractions, events and shows:

New attractions, events and shows

  • The SAW Franchise: Celebrate the 20th anniversary of SAW by plunging into the depths of Jigsaw’s twisted mind. Guests will endure torturous trials and face some of John Kramer’s most diabolical contraptions before time runs out.
  • Stranger Things: The students of Hawkins High decide to team up to create a bit of innocent Halloween fun for their community – but things quickly turn upside down and morph into something far darker
  • Camp Slasher: Set in the eerie confines of Camp Rainburn—a deceptively idyllic summer camp—Camp Slasher is not just a maze; it’s a full-blown 80s slasher experience that will push fear to its limits.
  • Crimson Vein: Experience a harrowing descent into a post-apocalyptic nightmare, where the world as you know it has been irrevocably shattered. In this forsaken future, the ravages of nuclear war have left the earth a desolate wasteland ruled by a group of feral, radiation-plagued vampires driven by an insatiable thirst for human blood.
  • Promenade Theater: The magic of cinema meets the terror of Fright Fest with an eerie showcase of the nightmarish spectacles that await further in the park.

Returning attractions, events and shows

Haunted houses returning this year include:

  • Nyctophobia: Dare to confront the darkest corners of your mind, where your fear of the dark comes alive.
  • Carnival of Chaos: Where guests are dying to have a good time.

Additional scare zones throughout the park include:

  • Reaper's Curse: Where the veil between life and death is perilously thin, and darkness reigns supreme.
  • Roswellga: The area designated as [REDACTED] has been subject to a government-initiated quarantine and is now classified as a high-security incident zone
  • Freak show:  Enter if you dare, but remember: once you’re here, escaping the clutches of The Ringmaster’s twisted circus might be the most significant fright of all.
  • Trolls: Ready to pay the toll? Here, the trolls reign supreme, and every step you take could lead to a confrontation with their unsettling and chaotic antics.

Live shows and Halloween-themed attraction overlays include:

  • Dr. Fright’s Dead Man’s Party: Guests are once again invited to Dr. Fright's annual Dead Man's Party, a bash for zombies to scare the living daylights out of mortals with drop-dead performances of classic Halloween hits.
  • Bad Bob the Bone Butcher: Deputy Leon P. Jones oversees Bad Bob's rotten coffin. It's Old West slapstick slaughter when Bad Bob comes back to life and has a bone to pick with Jones.
  • The Transylvanian Orchestra: Experience the ultimate fusion of gothic grandeur and rock madness. Set against the backdrop of an ancient gothic castle.
  • The Uprising: As night falls, a horde of nightmarish creatures emerges from the shadows in a heart-pounding, adrenaline-fueled spectacle. Witness the monstrous uprising as they storm the stage in a terrifying display of horror and mayhem.
