'Love Island USA' star arrested at The Battery, accused of threatening to kill police officer

COBB COUNTY, Ga. — A "Love Island USA" reality TV star is facing felony charges after she was arrested at The Battery in Cobb County for allegedly threatening a police officer.

The incident happened outside the Coca-Cola Roxy on the night of Sept. 30. That's when Gracie Abrams was performing, according to the concert venue's schedule. 

According to Cobb Police, Hannah Smith, a Charlotte, North Carolina native, is facing charges including terroristic threats and willful obstruction of a law enforcement officer. 

A People report states Smith was reportedly intoxicated and allegedly punched an EMS staffer in the arm. Smith was escorted out of The Roxy by a police officer and that's when she allegedly threatened and attempted to punch the officer, according to arrest warrants obtained by 11Alive. 

During Smith's arrest, she also attempted to kick the officer while being placed in handcuffs, the warrants revealed. 

According to the warrants, Smith is also accused of threatening to kill the officer and the officer's sister.

Cobb Police said Smith was taken to the Cobb County Adult Detention Center. 11Alive obtained jail records from the Cobb County Sheriff's Office, which shows she was held and later released on a $8,000 bond.
