Lauryn Hill reschedules rest of tour for 2024 before Atlanta stop

The music mogul took to Instagram to announce the rest of her Miseducation Anniversary tour will be postponed until 2024 citing a vocal strain.

ATLANTA — Metro Atlanta fans were anticipating a classic performance from icon Lauryn Hill next week, but that will have to wait a little longer.

Hill took to Instagram to announce the rest of her Miseducation Anniversary Tour will be postponed until 2024 -- citing a vocal strain.

The music mogul explained in her post that the postponement will allow her to recover so she can prevent long-term negative impacts on her voice.

She was expected to stop in Atlanta on Monday, Nov. 27 at State Farm Arena, but Philadelphia will be her last stop to hear all of her greatest hits of the year.

The "Ready or Not" star said that when the tour returns, she will be adding new cities, including some overseas stops. The tour celebrated 25 years of her most critical album "Lauryn Hill & Fugees: Miseducation of Lauryn Hill."

She said in her post that she is grateful for being able to celebrate the album's milestone and be on such an "emotional experience."

"Being able to tour this album to sold-out crowds after 25 years has been an emotional experience," said Hill in her post. "I’ve loved sharing the stage again with Wyclef and Pras. The Return of the Fugees has been powerful and amazing—those who’ve witnessed it can testify."

Hill added she is excited to continue her tour in 2024 and told fans to await news of the new dates.

"We want to thank everyone who celebrated with us—EVERY SINGLE FAN…and ALL band, crew, production, staff, family, friends and Day 1-OG-CAMP members who helped make each and every single night LEGENDARY," Hill's post said.

Fans in her comment sections have been understanding of the postponement, encouraging Hill to rest and recover.

For those who have bought tickets, State Farm Arena officials said that no action is required for ticket holders.

Either a refund will be issued or the event organizer will issue a credit option visible with the details of the concert in each ticket holders' account. The refund will be completed within the next 30 days, according to officials.
