CHANHASSEN, Minn. -- In a 5-0 vote, the Chanhassen City Council approved a plan to turn Prince's Paisley Park complex into a museum.
What that means, simply, is that the complex where Prince carved out his musical legacy is open for tour business.
The proposal to rezone the property from "Industrial Office Park" to "Planned Unit Development" had been tabled a couple times due to public safety and traffic concerns. Council members felt those concerns were addressed and unanimously approved the plan Monday night.
The city granted temporary permits to Bremer Trust, which is handling Prince's estate, so that tours could take place this month. Shortly after the vote, museum management announced tickets are now on sale for tour dates through December 2016, with tours resuming Oct. 28. Tour dates for 2017 are expected to go on sale by mid November.

Earlier this month, fans from all over traveled to Minnesota in order to take part in the inaugural tours.
Managing operator of the Paisley Park tours, Joel Weinshanker, said fans can expect to see everything the legendary singer was hoping to share someday.
