ATLANTA — Friday marks two years since the death of acclaimed rapper Takeoff, who was one-third of the metro Atlanta rap super trio Migos.
The rapper, whose real name was Kirsnick Khari Tiquon Ball, was shot and killed at a party in Houston, Texas, in 2022. His death sent shockwaves through the hip-hop community and the world.
Patrick Clark is charged with murder in connection to his death.
Takeoff's uncle, Quavo, a fellow member of Migos, shared photos on Instagram remembering the star whose light was burned out too soon.
"Til Infinity," the post read.
Since Takeoff's death, Quavo has taken a strong stance against gun violence, creating a foundation in his nephew's honor - The Rocket Foundation.
