Louisiana rapper Lil Wayne had multiple seizures on a cross-country flight, and was transported to a hospital by ambulance, according to TMZ.
The website reported Wayne was flying from Milwaukee to California around 1:30 p.m. PT when his private plane was forced to make an emergency landing Monday afternoon in Omaha, Nebraska. Wayne apparently refused medical treatment at first, and the pilot took the air again.
However, he suffered a second seizure, losing consciousness and forcing the plane to land a second time.
Paramedics treated him on the airplane before transporting him to a hospital.
Wayne has said he's epileptic and has a history of seizures. According to TMZ, he quit drinking cough syrup because of the seizures.
In April, Wayne was in Lafayette to perform a free concert for UL students. It was to reward students from the UL chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha, who helped collect and donate more than 5,000 bottles of water for Flint residents with toxic water, according to a February story in UL's student newspaper, The Vermilion.
