CONYERS, Ga. -- Georgia is the premiere location for the TV and film industry meaning you don’t have to go far to spot a filming location in metro Atlanta.
The A-Scene Insider Susan Wages was driving in Conyers the other day and spotted the outside of fictional hospital Chastain Park Memorial Hospital from Fox’s show ‘The Resident.’
The series, starring Matt Czuchry and Emily VanCamp, trails doctors who encounter not only professional difficulties but also personal ones.
The medical drama on FOX got picked up for a third season in early May and has started production. The majority of the first and second seasons were filmed in Conyers and at the High Museum of Art in Atlanta.
TV Line reports that David Alan Grier is joining the cast in Season 3 so we could be seeing more of him around metro Atlanta.
‘The Resident’ follows a young doctor who is paired with a senior resident that is as tough as he is brilliant. It stars Matt Czuchry, Emily VanCamp, Manish Dayal and Bruce Greenwood.
11Alive's Jay Plynurn landed an reoccurring role on the drama and shared what it was like being a part of the show. With art imitating life, Jay plays a news reporter and his character first appeared in January for the mid-season premiere. More on his experience, here.
