ATLANTA — It's no secret that entertainment during the 2019 Super Bowl was a highlight for the city, but new information shows that Bruno Mars and Cardi B's performance during the Super Bowl Music Fest broke records.
State Farm Arena, home to the NBA’s Atlanta Hawks, hosted the three sold-out events during the weekend leading up to Super Bowl LIII.
This three-night concert series combined for more than $10 million in revenue and over 38,000 tickets sold.
“We were thrilled by the success of the first-ever Super Bowl Music Fest at State Farm Arena,” said Trey Feazell, Executive Vice President of State Farm Arena Programming. “The entire city of Atlanta did a tremendous job hosting the Super Bowl and we are proud that our venue was able to showcase some of the greatest entertainers in music over three consecutive nights.”
On Saturday, Feb. 2, two headlining performances from Bruno Mars and Cardi B sold 14,152 tickets and grossed nearly $6.5 million.
The duo, who recently released their newest track "Please Me," also set the record for the highest single-night gross in the history of State Farm Arena (including 19-year run of the arena being named Philips Arena).
On Friday, Feb. 1, Aerosmith and Post Malone teamed up to sell out 12,894 tickets and gross $3.6 million, and on Thursday, Jan. 31, State Farm Arena grossed more than $1.3 million from 11,149 tickets because of Atlanta-native and multi-platinum rapper Ludacris, who starred in the EA Sports Bowl.

Joining him at this event were Atlanta natives: Migos, Lil Yachty, Lil Baby and Metro Boomin. Lil Jon performed a special DJ set and Ciara surprised concertgoers when the Hawks ATL Dancers joined her on stage for a memorable rendition of her single "Level Up".
The next-generation venue opened its doors in October 2018 following the second-largest renovation in NBA history.
