Atlanta resident Cardi B has some very explosive words for the Trump administration before releasing her “Twerk” video with rap duo City Girls.
The Bronx native went on social media to vent about her frustration with the government shutdown.
“I just want to remind y’all because it’s been a little bit over three weeks. Trump is now ordering, as in summonsing, federal government workers to go back to work without getting paid,” Cardi said.
Cardi B, who emerged into the music scene as a star in VH1’s Love and Hip, typically posts light-hearted or risqué content on her social media, expressed her concerns about the climate of the shutdown on social media in a video.
“This [expletive] is really serious, bro. This [expletive] is crazy. Our country is in a hellhole right now all for a [expletive] wall. And we really need to take this seriously…I feel like we to take some kind of action. I don’t know what kind of action…but I’m scared because this is serious."
The reality TV star turned mega rap star is responsible for several Billboard number one hits including “Bodak Yellow” and “I Like It”.
Several celebrities, political figures, and commentators responded to the rappers rant.
