ATLANTA – The Netflix original “Raising Dion” won’t be available to binge until 2019, but they've been casting for several weeks in Atlanta and start shooting on July 23.
The show is about a single mother who must protect her son born with superpowers from being exploited, while also investigating where those powers came from, and her husband’s mysterious death. It stars Michael B. Jordan and Jason Ritter, along with Jazmyn Simon.
This casting call is a “Director’s Picture Pick” which means the director of “Raising Dion” will be looking over potential candidates. This usually means that the role will be a featured part in the series or is more integral to the scene than the usual ‘extra gig.’
