Kelsey Grammer's ‘Charming Hearts of Men’ films scenes in Madison

Grammer will play a southern congressman in the indie movie inspired by true events leading up to the Times Up movement.

ATLANTA — Scenes for an upcoming film starring Kelsey Grammer is taking place right now Madison, Georgia. 

11Alive viewer Susan Wages took pictures of crews setting up in town on Tuesday.

Wage posted the photos in the A-Scene group with the caption, “Filming Kelsey Grammer movie in Madison”. 

While she didn’t catch any stars, she was excited to share some of the preps from down the street.

One photo shows a vintage car as several scenes for “Charming Hearts of Men” will be set in the late 1950s and early 1960s.

Grammer will play a southern congressman in the indie movie inspired by true events leading up to the Times Up movement.

The 64-year-old actor will star in the film set during a “politically-charged era” and written by Susan DeRose, who will also helm the project.

The yellow basecamp sign for the movie is 1964.

Scenes for the movie have been shot in Athens, so far.
