ATLANTA — On July 4 fans went wild when season 3 dropped on Netflix and we have details on whether there will be a season 4!
Netflix hasn’t yet renewed the series for another season, but back in April of last year executive producer Shawn Levy told Collider it's happening.
But here's the bad news. Season 4 may be the final season, as the show’s creators, Matt and Ross Duffer, seem to have always planned on “Stranger Things” ending after season 4.
The reason? Well, they told Vulture that when the pre-teens are ready for college the show's youthful glow will fade.
The brothers assumed they'd only get one season with Netflix at first, so they planned to kill off Eleven in that season.
The A-Scene: Behind the scenes of 'Stranger Things' Season 3
For the third season of "Stranger Things," we return to Hawkins, Indiana, and summer's heating up in 1985.
School’s out, there’s a brand new mall in town, and the Hawkins crew are on the cusp of adulthood. Romance blossoms and complicates the group’s dynamic, and they’ll have to figure out how to grow up without growing apart. Meanwhile, danger looms.
When the town’s threatened by enemies old and new, Eleven and her friends are reminded that evil never ends; it evolves. Now they’ll have to band together to survive and remember that friendship is always stronger than fear.
