Does the Truist logo remind you of Tyler Perry Studios?

A Twitter user J. Tyler White wrote the mogul, “@tylerperry, these fools jacked your logo and park it on the Braves stadium! You should send a Cease & Desist.”

ATLANTA — The unveiling of the logo for Truist bank has left some people scratching their heads.

On Monday, SunTrust unveiled the new look for Truist: a monogram made up of two T's that mirror the Truist name and represent Touch + Technology, they said. Truist Purple, the defining color of the new brand, is the combination of heritage BB&T burgundy and SunTrust blue, they said.

And when the Braves announced the new name of their park on Tuesday, the topic turned a different direction when a fan compared the logo to another Atlanta brand – Tyler Perry Studios.

A Twitter user J. Tyler White wrote the mogul, “@tylerperry, these fools jacked your logo and park it on the Braves stadium! You should send a Cease & Desist.”

Perry has not responded to the message, but a few other users have shared the image of the striking resemblance.

According to the Braves, fans can expect the major branding to be in place at the stadium in time for Opening Day of the 2021 season, but can start to "experience" the brand at the Braves' annual Chop Fest Weekend on Friday, Jan. 24 and Saturday, Jan. 25.
