Georgia produced show 'Greenleaf' returns for season 4

The A-Scene’s Francesca Amiker spoke stars Deborah Joy Winans and Merle Dandridge and dished on what to expect in upcoming episodes.

Season four of the hit Georgia filmed show comes on the Oprah Winfrey Network  tonight and  viewers are in for a treat!

The A-Scene’s Francesca Amiker spoke stars Deborah Joy Winans and Merle Dandridge and dished on what to expect in upcoming episodes.

“When I got those scripts, I was like “oohhhh I get to do that? I was so excited about what Charity got to do, what she got to live in” Winans said.

In Season four we see the Greenleafs making a desperate attempt to maintain a united front in the face of losing Calvary to Bob Whitmore and Harmony & Hope Ministries, but secrets past and present create what could be fatal fractures in the family's fragile foundation.

For the first time we see Lady Mae (Lynn Whitfield) and Grace (Dandridge)  form an alliance with efforts to reclaim their church from within.

“Everyone whether you work in the church or your out of the church, you have a relationship or a point of view on your spirituality or lack thereof, so I love that we watch people wrestle. These are people who have been in church their entire lives,” Dandrige said.

The Bishop (Keith David) continues working to mend his rift with his wife Lady Mae, while day by day Harmony & Hope's grip on Calvary tightens.

Scenes for season four were filmed in parts of Georgia including Gold Room in Midtown, and House of Hope in Decatur.

"Greenleaf" is produced for OWN by Lionsgate in association with Harpo Films and Pine City. Executive producers are Oprah Winfrey, Craig Wright, Clement Virgo, and Kriss Turner Towner.
