Metro Atlanta's own Lil Nas X is hitting the 'Old Town Road' once again - and he brought some others along with him.
The singer/rapper, whose real names is Montero Lamar Hill, announced Thursday night on Twitter that the remix of his popular hit song is out. It features Billy Ray Cyrus once again and adds Young Thug and Mason Ramsey who is known as the Walmart yodeling kid.
The newly added features pushed the song back into the spotlight as Mason Ramsey was a top Google Trend Friday afternoon. You may remember a video that went viral of him yodeling in a Walmart at just 11 years old.
Lil Nas X released the song this time along with an emoji video. He tweeted a YouTube clip of it. The video already has more than 2 million views.
The first time around, "Old Town Road" sparked controversy when it opened at No. 19 on the Billboard Hot Country chart. Billboard pulled it from the chart in March when the magazine called it more of a rap song than a country song.
Then, Cyrus jumped in to help Lil Nas X. He was added to the song and it skyrocketed to No. 1.
Lil Nas X is a native of Lithia Springs, Georgia and worked locally at Zaxby's and Six Flags before he became a full-time musician. He also made headlines at the end of June when he shared on social media that he was gay.
