ATLANTA — Hollywood actors like Eddie Murphy, Jason Bateman, Chris Pratt, and Kelsey Grammer are all in Georgia working on their latest projects.
Here’s a look at some of those productions being filmed right now.
Charming Hearts of Men (Basecamp code 1964)
We’re looking for Mr. Kelsey Grammer, just weeks after we announced production on his upcoming movie “Charming Hearts of Men” last month.
Grammer will play a southern congressman in the indie movie inspired by true events leading up to the Times Up movement.
The 64-year-old actor will star in the film set during a “politically-charged era” and written by Susan DeRose, who will also helm the project.
The yellow basecamp sign for the movie is 1964.
Scenes for the movie have been shot in Madison and Athens, so far.
Netflix’s Ozark (Basecamp code KRAZO)
Jason Bateman’s hit Netflix series “Ozark” continues production of its third season throughout parts of Atlanta.
The show's primary filming location happens in Lake Lanier, and residents shared some of the action with The A-Scene that took place 12 miles away in Buford.
Debbie Loding shared photos of crews setting up equipment and lighting at Shadburn Ferry Road and Buford Dam Road.
While she didn’t spot any of the stars of the hit show, Loding has enjoyed watching the magic of television production unfold in front of her eyes.
Black SUV trucks that typically transport celebs were seen in one of the shots. The fictional series follows the financial conflicts of a family from Chicago to the Ozark Mountains.
Earlier this summer, we spotted Bateman's character Marty Byrd's van in Stone Mountain.
GREENLAND (PRODUCTION SIGN: GLD)
Gerard Butler stars in the upcoming disaster thriller “Greenland”. The plot follows a family’s fight for survival after a cataclysmic natural disaster.
While some scenes are being filmed in Toronto, several scenes have been filmed in parts of Georgia throughout June and July.
Production has been spotted in Marietta (West Cobb) near Dallas Highway. Basecamp signs with GLD by North Metro Church and Mt. Calvary Church.
Coming to America: Quest (Basecamp code: QST)
Production for the sequel to Eddie Murphy’s classic comedy film “Coming to America” is in full swing throughout several parts of Georgia.
Notable cast members from the original movie, including Arsenio Hall, Vanessa Bell Calloway, Louie Anderson, and John Amos are reprising their roles.
“Coming 2 America: Quest” will feature Murphy again and it will center around his character Prince Akeem.
In the sequel, he returns to the states to find his long-lost son in America so he can take the throne.
Hip-Hop mogul Rick Ross revealed scenes for the movie are taking place at this South Fulton county mansion.

Eddie Murphy's 1988 hit grossed nearly $300 million at the worldwide box office. The sequel is expected to hit theaters Aug. 7, 2020.
Ghost Draft (Basecamp code: Boneyard)
Earlier this week, we told you about a casting call for Chris Pratt's upcoming sci-fi movie "Ghost Draft".
According to the Internet Movie Database, “Ghost Draft” is about a man who is drafted to fight in a future war where the fate of humanity relies on his ability to confront his past.
Yvonee Strahovski, Betty Gilpin, and Keith Powers are all set to star in the Chris McKay directed movie.
A release date for the project has not been revealed as of yet.
THE RESIDENT (Basecamp code: TR)
A-Scene Insider Susan Wages was driving in Conyers the other day and spotted the outside of fictional hospital Chastain Park Memorial Hospital from Fox’s show ‘The Resident.’
The series, starring Matt Czuchry and Emily VanCamp, trails doctors who encounter not only professional difficulties but also personal ones.
The medical drama on FOX got picked up for a third season in early May and has started production. The majority of the first and second seasons were filmed in Conyers and at the High Museum of Art in Atlanta.
TV Line reports that David Alan Grier is joining the cast in Season 3 so we could be seeing more of him around metro Atlanta.
AMERICAN SOUL (Basecamp code: AMSO)
Producers for BET’s hit TV show are looking for fresh faces to be in the second season of “American Soul,” a series about the hit dance TV show “Soul Train”.
Hylton Casting is looking for people to be cast as extras for the TV series. The series is set in 1975 and based on the life and career of “Soul Train” creator Don Cornelius.
Producers are looking for all looks and heritage background for the role. The key requirement is being 18 years or older.
Filming takes place in Atlanta between September and November.

LEGACIES (Basecamp code: LGC)
One of this year’s popular TV shows among teens is coming back this September, and production crews are moving fast to complete filming episodes.
A-Scene Insider Samantha Bussey Thornton spotted production for CW’s “Legacies” in Covington taking place in her neighborhood.
While Thornton didn’t catch any action of the stars, she did mention that crews were just setting up for scenes on Wednesday.
The snap shows crews setting up equipment and a basecamp production sign with the alias “LGC.”
“Legacies” carries on the story that originally started with “The Vampire Diaries” and in “The Originals”.
COBRA KAI (Basecamp code: CK)
Scenes for upcoming episodes of YouTube’s original series "Cobra Kai" were being filmed in the Midtown section of Atlanta Tuesday.
Vintage cars from the 1950s and 1960s will be featured in a flashback scene at the former Landmark Diner Jr. located at Cheshire Bridge Road and Lavista Road.
The 24-hour eatery closed earlier this year and has been used for other productions including NBC’s Park & Recreation. It opened in 2005.
Crews were stripping down lights and other equipment when The A-Scene arrived at the location on Wednesday.
A few residents in the area sent photos of the vintage cars to The A-Scene Facebook group.
LOVECRAFT COUNTRY (Basecamp code: RP)
J.J. Abrams and Jordan Peele are busy filming in parts of Midtown Atlanta for “Lovecraft Country," a one-hour drama series by HBO.
The story follows a struggle to survive and overcome both the racist terrors of white America and the terrifying monsters that could be ripped from an H.P. Lovecraft paperback.
Michael Kenneth Williams, who once played in HBO’s inner-city drug traffic series “The Wire,” will star as Black.
Caresse Davis shared footage from production on Broad Street downtown on August 16.
TYLER PERRY’S THE OVAL
Production for “The Oval” began earlier this summer at Tyler Perry Studios. The show’s cast includes Ed Quinn, Kron Moore, Paige Hurd, and Daniel Croix Henderson.
Perry’s says he’s set out to create a show that tells the story of a family placed in the White House by people of power while also highlighting the personal side and everyday lives of the staff who run the inner workings of the nation’s most iconic residence.
TYLER PERRY’S SISTAS
“Sistas” is the second series for the BET streaming service. The drama called follows a group of single black women from different walks of life who bond over their one common thread: Why am I single?
The hour-long drama takes viewers on a roller-coaster ride of emotions and hilarious moments that are the epitome of #squadgoals.
One of the actors who was cast on the show made headlines as she shocked the world trying to get the attention of Perry.
Racquel Bailey says she spent a little over $2,000 on the large signs that read, “Attention Mr. Perry, Racquel Bailey is your next leading lady.”
Perry responded to the world telling us this is not the way to land a gig with his studio.
However, a new report from TMZ details Bailey’s antics could have landed her a gig with the Madea superstar. According to TMZ, Bailey will appear in “Sistas,” a show that the actress dreamed about being in.
“I love the diverse projects that are coming out. He (Perry) has this project called “Sistas” that I would love to be a part of,” Bailey told The A-Scene before it was confirmed that she would be a part of it.
BLACK LIGHTNING
"Black Lightning" is based on the DC Comic by the same name.
It's about a man who dressed as a superhero and acted as a vigilante in his younger days but left it all behind him to become a family man and a school administrator.
Then he finds himself getting dragged back into his old life.
The third season has been filming throughout parts of Georgia. Last week, we reported a casting call for extras that will be featured in a funeral scene.
LAUREN LAKE'S PATERNITY COURT
Filmed in Georgia, Judge Lauren Lake presides over highly emotional cases that lead to life-changing consequences and new beginnings. "Paternity Court" uncovers the truth 5 days a week . . . and sometimes the truth hurts.
DYNASTY (PRODUCTION SIGN: CROSS EYE)
“Dynasty” is filming under the code “CROSS EYE.”
The remake follows the same basic premise as the original, two of America’s wealthiest families feuding over their fortune and their families, but with an updated storyline and cast.
ROBBIE (PRODUCTION SIGN: CP)
Production for Comedy Central’s upcoming show “Robbie” began last summer and has resumed production since late April.
The half-hour scripted series stars Rory Scovel (I Feel Pretty, Rory Scovel Tries Stand Up For The First Time). Rory plays a small-town youth league basketball coach living in his father’s shadow until he realizes he has a son of his own who can lead him to greatness.
"Robbie" is written by Rory Scovel and Anthony King (Broad City, Silicon Valley). Co-starring with Rory are Beau Bridges, who plays his father, Sasheer Zamata and Mary Holland. Scovel, King, and Scott Moran are executive producers. Will Ferrell, Adam McKay, Betsy Koch, and Owen Burke are executive producers for Gary Sanchez Productions. Monika Zielinska and Rachel Olson are Executives in Charge of "Robbie" for the network.
