CLAYTON, Ga. — “Safety,” an upcoming movie by Disney, delayed traffic Friday in Clayton.
In a memo posted on the Clayton Police Department Facebook, crews were filming a fight scene around the area of Wilson Alley behind the Main Street Shops.
The scenes took place between 8 a.m. and went on until 5 p.m.
“They will be using movie prop weapons as well and we were told at some point there will be a gunshot using a prop gun. We do have an officer present on location with the film crew throughout the filming,” the memo continued.
A-Scene Insider Joshua Williams spotted production the upcoming Disney film “SAFETY” filming near Clayton State University, just a few weeks ago.
According to the Internet Movie Database, the film is "based on the story of Ray-Ray McElrathbey, a freshman football player for Clemson University, who secretly raised his younger brother on campus after his home life became too unsteady."
Atlanta Business Chronicle reports crews began filming this movie back in September.
Tonya Blessing Brown, a viewer, spotted the basecamp production code "BR," which is short for Blue Ridge, a working title for "Safety".
Corrine Foxx, Amanda Warren, and Todd Allen are all set to appear in the movie.
You can see how it all comes to life when it premieres in 2020.
