ATLANTA — 2020 is kicking off with a band for Atlanta stars!
Usher and Crystal Fox (“The Haves and the Have Nots,” “Big Little Lies,” “A Fall from Grace”) have a new movie coming out.
“Burden” is a dramatic true story about a small town in South Carolina that opened a museum celebrating the Ku Klux Klan.
The film was shot here in Georgia, just outside of Atlanta. Actors Forest Whitaker and Garrett Hedlund also have key supporting roles in the film.
Whitaker plays Reverend Kennedy who resolves to everything in his power to prevent long-simmering racial tensions from boiling over.
Hedlund plays a Klansman whose relationships with both a single-mother (Andrea Riseborough) and a high-school friend (Usher Raymond) force him to re-examine his long-held beliefs.
After Kennedy helps Mike leave behind his violent past, the Baptist preacher finds himself on a collision course with manipulative KKK leader Tom Griffin (Tom Wilkinson).
"Burden" will be released on February 28.
