In case you missed it, Variety reported Monday that Henry Cavill (along with a cadre of other DC stars including Gal Gadot and Ben Affleck) has been called back in this summer to film extensive reshoots for Justice League (in theaters Nov. 17).
Joss Whedon is currently finishing the superhero film for Zack Snyder, who stepped away from production due to a family tragedy.
The problem? Well, Cavill, aka Superman, has been busy growing some scruffy facial hair for Mission Impossible 6, which is currently filming.
It gets better. Apparently, there was a Hollywood scuffle between film studios over whether or not Cavill, a full-grown man of 34, can ditch his 'stache to reshoot a few clean-shaven Superman scenes. (Spoiler: Paramount won and now Warner Bros. —aka the studio behind Justice League — will have to pour millions of dollars into digitally erasing his scruff in post-production.)
