'No kidding around' | Cobb County hires goats to landscape

The herd is lending a helping hoof to clear out excess vegetation.

MARIETTA, Ga. — Cobb County has re-hired their "favorite four-legged landscapers" to clean up Sewell Mill Library and Cultural Center.

The herd is on the clock, clearing away weeds and debris to "bleatify" the area.

As the Cobb County Government said in a Facebook post, these goats "don't kid around as they take on the weeds."

You can see the goats in action Friday at 2051 Lower Roswell Road in Marietta.

Using goats as mobile, living lawnmowers has grown in popularity in recent years, with several small rental businesses popping up as owners rent out their herds.

Not only do the animals get a treat, but it also frees up humans to work on other tasks—ones that require opposable thumbs.
