ATLANTA — Thanksgiving is about the spirit of gratitude, and what better way to get into that mindset than to help give a furry friend in need a new home.
The LifeLine Animal Project is helping make the holidays the best ever for its homeless animals, so it is waiving all fees on all adoptable shelter animals for Black Friday.
The no-fee adoption includes the animal's spay/neuter, microchip, vaccinations and more, for no additional cost.
Last year, the rescue group helped facilitate the adoption of 337 pets, and they expect even more to get adopted this year.
The adoption event will take place from Black Friday to Cyber Monday at several LifeLine shelters, including:
- DeKalb County Animal Services, 3280 Chamblee Dunwoody Rd., Chamblee
- Fulton County Animal Services, 860 Marietta Blvd. NW, Atlanta
- LifeLine Cat Adoption Center, 3172 E. Ponce de Leon, Scottdale
- LifeLine Community Animal Center, 3180 Presidential Drive, Atlanta
