ATLANTA — Sharks and dolphins and whales, oh my!
For a limited time, Georgians can pay for a day and visit the Georgia Aquarium all year. Those who want to explore the Georgia Aquarium and its many inhabitants can purchase a resident pass to get unlimited visits almost anytime throughout 2024. The pass is also available to guests outside of the state, particularly in neighboring areas like Florida, Alabama, Tennessee, North Carolina and South Carolina.
According to the Georgia Aquarium, the price is the same as a single-day ticket. It will be $52.99 plus tax. The passes must be purchased online and will not be available again once sold out. Guests are required to make a reservation before they visit every time. No one can visit unless they have used their account to reserve an entry pass for a specific day and time.
The resident pass also gives guests access to every gallery, including their newest with sharks. Those are called “SHARKS! Predators of the Deep” and the “Ocean Voyager built by The Home Depot.”
Resident passes include:
- Unlimited visits for 2024 aside from the blackout dates.
- Timed reservations
- Access to all galleries
- Access to general seating for dolphin and sea lion presentations. The caveat is one must make reservations on the day of the visit as seats are limited and first-come, first-served.
- Supporting ocean conservation by purchasing a pass.
- Access to seasonal activities like the Sound Waves Concert Series, Haunted Seas and Holidays at Georgia Aquarium.
What days can you NOT use the pass?
- Feb. 17-18
- March 29-30
- April 4-7
- May 25-26
- July 4-7, 13, 20, 27
- Aug. 31 - Sept. 1
- Nov. 29-30
- Dec. 26-30
The resident pass for the aquarium is valid through Dec. 31, 2024. It cannot be paused or adjusted. According to the aquarium, each pass must have a person’s name attached to it and can only be used by that person. One must show their photo ID to the attendant at the Aquarium entrance. The names on the identification must match the pass. However, guests may purchase up to six passes for family and friends. Those passes would be tied to the same Georgia Aquarium account.
So, if you’re tired of watching the same old live otter videos on YouTube, feel free to check out the real thing at the Georgia Aquarium this year.
