ATLANTA — Chick-fil-A has announced plans to make a $100 million investment in Kentucky.
Chick-fil-A Supply, a wholly owned distribution-focused subsidiary of Atlanta-based Chick-fil-A Inc., will develop and construct a new distribution center in Elsmere, where the company is expected to create 178 full-time jobs over five years, including more than 130 in the first year, according to a media release.
Construction on the 270,000-square-foot facility is already underway. It is expected to be operational sometime in 2026.
Chick-fil-A is the third-largest quick-service restaurant company in the U.S., with 3,000 independently owned and operated franchises employing more than 200,000 team members.
The company currently operates nine distribution centers, with locations in Georgia, North Carolina, Tennessee, Missouri, Kansas, Texas and Ohio. The Ohio distribution center is in the Greater Cleveland area.
