ATLANTA — Popular Atlanta BeltLine restaurant Hawkers reopened on Monday evening. It was forced to close over two years ago due to a grease fire.
Hawkers Asian Street Food, located at 661 Auburn Ave N, announced on social media that it reopened its doors on Monday, April 1, at 5 p.m. The restaurant previously said the grease fire caused some unforeseen mechanical maintenance, which caused the years-long hiatus.
"We had a blast this week hosting preview parties with our Atlanta fam after 2 long years!" the restaurant wrote. "Shout out to everyone who came out and celebrated with us. We are so grateful to this community for believing in us and welcoming us back with open arms. You guys are the reason we fought so hard to get this location back open, no matter what it took."
