ATLANTA — For the first time ever, Whataburger is opening up a restaurant location in Atlanta!
The brand-new location will actually be Whataburger's 1,000th store it has opened in the United States. The address of the restaurant will be 2955 Cobb Parkway Southeast in the Vinings area in Cobb County.
But better yet, you could potentially win Whataburger for a year. To celebrate its 1,000th location, the first two people in the drive-thru line will win Whataburger for a year gift baskets. They said they will also have "special performances and other giveaways" and a $10,000 check presentation to the Atlanta Community Food Bank.
The restaurant opens at noon on Jan. 16, but it's pretty safe to assume the restaurant will be filled with cars as people try to become the lucky first two customers to win a year's supply of Whataburger.
Whataburger first came to the metro Atlanta area in November 2022 when it opened its first location in Kennesaw. There is now a total of 13 Whataburgers across the metro -- in cities such as Athens, Buford, Commerce, Covington, Cumming, Dawsonville, Kennesaw, Monroe, Newnan, Snellville, Thomasville, Woodstock and now Atlanta.
Whataburger said over the next five years, it hopes to have more than 50 locations in the Atlanta area over the next six years.
Whataburger is located in 16 states, most prominently featured in Texas, for which it has 734 locations.
