TEXAS, USA — Whataburger has unveiled its newest menu item, which will only be available for a limited time.
The Texas-based burger chain announced the "Bacon Steakhouse Double," which can be purchased at any location from April 2 to June 30.
The all-new Bacon Steakhouse Double combines two fresh, 100% beef patties and two slices of melted aged cheddar topped with smoky bacon, crispy fried onions, and tangy steak sauce, all on a toasted bun. The burger also comes in a smaller version: the Bacon Steakhouse Double Jr.
“The Bacon Steakhouse Double is more than a new menu item. It’s an experience,” Whataburger Chief Marketing Officer Scott Hudler says. “Our one-of-a-kind burger is inspired by the flavors of an upscale steakhouse. It's made from premium ingredients and crafted with legendary Whataburger quality. It’s available for a limited time, so treat yourself while you can.”
Whataburger posted a teaser video about the new menu item addition on March 30 ahead of the release.
Whataburger also announced Tuesday that due to overwhelming demand, it would be extending the WhataWings for the remainder of 2024.
Both the Bacon Steakhouse Double and WhataWings are available in-store, at the drive-thru, online at Whataburger.com, and on the popular Whataburger App for curbside pickup or delivery.
