GORDON COUNTY, Ga. — The Gordon County Sheriff's Office recognized 11-year-old Drake Linn for his heroic actions when his grandfather had a medical emergency while driving.

According to a Facebook post from the sheriff's office,  Linn and his grandfather were in a pickup truck towing a boat on Monday when the grandfather, who was driving, had a medical emergency.

Linn was able to take control of the truck and safely guide it and the boat to the roadside before calling 911.

To honor his courage, the sheriff presented Linn with a Citizen Service Award, an Atlanta Braves cap and shirt, and four tickets to a Braves game.

In his citation, Sheriff Ralston described Linn as “displaying courage, resourcefulness, and good citizenship."
