This kitten was trapped inside the walls of an Arkansas arena 7 months ago, now she has a forever home

In March, the maintenance team at Simmons Bank Arena recused a one-week-old kitten trapped between two walls in the building. Now, she's thriving in a new home.

NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — Staff at Simmons Bank Arena made a furry discovery after hearing non-stop meowing around the venue earlier this year in March.

After a full morning of searching turned up nothing, the maintenance team stepped in to help and even knocked a hole in the wall— but still, no kitten was found.

It wasn't until they went into the ceiling for a better view that they spotted a tiny kitten trapped between two walls.

A team of everyday heroes rescued her, and another staff member rushed her to the vet once she'd been freed.

The kitten was in rough shape and only about a week old, so it wasn't clear if she'd make it at first. Thankfully, a caring foster home with a mother cat gave the kitten another shot at life.

Now, seven and a half months later, Juniper is happy, healthy, and thriving!

Though she may have found her 'fur'-ever home, staff at Simmons Bank Arena said, "She'll always be our Arena Kitty."
