ATLANTA — Sleigh bells will soon ring now that the holidays are right around the corner. That also means it's time for fan favorites with holiday classics and new highly-anticipated movies that will hit the big screen before the year comes to an end.
Marcus Theatres recently surveyed its loyalty members in several different states, including Georgia, where they picked which new releases they want to see along with their top classic holiday movies.
"Every season is movie season, but there's no better time to gather family and friends and head to the theatre than the holidays," said Mark Gramz, president of Marcus Theatres.
The company said most of those surveyed plan to flock the theatres all holiday season long -- no matter if it's to see an action-packed movie or a festive holiday film.
Here are the top highly-anticipated new releases:
- "Wonka"
- "The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes"
- "Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom"
- "Napoleon"
- "Wish"

A spin on the "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" classic, Wonka, takes the pie home for this year's highly-anticipated film, according to the survey. Many other newly-released movies are not that far behind it.
Moviegoers are also excited to experience a blast from the past.
Here's what classic holiday movies people surveyed are excited to see again:
- "Elf"
- "Dr. Seuss' The Grinch"
- "National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation"
- "A Christmas Story" tied with "It's a Wonderful Life"
- "The Polar Express"

The 2003 classic starring Will Ferrell took the Christmas crown this year. It surrendered its crown last year to the "National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation," according to Marcus Theatres.
For those who would like to see the merry movies at Marcus Theatres, they will be running for four week starting on Nov. 26.
