Six Flags Over Georgia kicks off holiday spirit with magical wintertime event

The event officially starts on Saturday with several new live shows and offerings for Georgia families.

COBB COUNTY, Ga. — Tis the Season to be jolly! Six Flags Over Georgia is back with its round of holiday fun, and it starts on Saturday! 

“With dazzling lights and decorative displays, exhilarating rides and a variety of seasonal delights, we aim to create cherished memories for our guests that will last a lifetime," said Park President David Zellner. 

Officials with the amusement park said several new live shows and offerings will be in the works for the magical wintertime event. 

The event will officially start on Saturday, Nov. 18.

Here's a list of new festivities that will be featured in the event: 

  • The Grand Fir Lighting Spectacular - Guests of the park will be able to enjoy a tall LED-lit Christmas Tree.
  • Oh What Fun! A Holiday Light Show- A Grand Fir Tree will come to life in a brand-new light show, park officials said. 
  • Monster Mansion Meet & Greet- A Halloween twist where residents will get to meet monsters.
  • Holiday Express- Park officials said that guests will be able to hop on board a railroad to see the park's décor. 

The park's officials also promise to return some holiday favorites, including the North Pole and Story Time with Mrs. Claus.  

All holiday festivities will run until January 3, 2024.
