White House Christmas tree to be selected from farm in NC

NEWLAND, N.C. — A Christmas tree from North Carolina will have the honor to spend the holidays in the White House.

The Cartner’s Christmas Tree Farm in Newland was named the 2024 Grand Champion growers at the National Christmas Tree Contest.

White House staff will pick the tree from the farm on Oct. 28.

Harvest of the selected tree will take place November 20, prior to the presentation to the First Lady in D.C.
