ATLANTA -- Kevin Avery of "Kevin and Taylor in the Morning" on 104.7 The Fish will ride 100 miles on his bicycle at Atlanta Motor Speedway to raise money for Food for the Poor.

The ride will take place on Wednesday, October 21st at 11:30am.

Kevin will combine his compassion for the poor with his passion for cycling in support of Food For The Poor's "Food for a Year & Water for Life" campaign.

On the day of the ride, 104.7 The Fish will hold an on-air fundraiser.

Avery's goal is to raise $20,000 and create awareness about Food For The Poor's radio campaign, which will provide food and water for destitute children and their families in Guatemala and Haiti.

"We're so proud of Kevin for coming up with the Haiti 100 idea. I told him last week, wouldn't it be cool if the whole campaign was funded by Oct. 21," said co-host Taylor Scott.

Kevin & Taylor in the Morning is teaming up with the law offices of Gary Martin Hays. The lawyer is challenging FISH listeners to support the bike ride by matching their donations.

"Our goal for the campaign is to raise enough funds to provide care for 5,200 children" said Alice Marino, TV and Radio Marketing Director of Food For The Poor. "On behalf of the least of these we serve, we want to thank FISH Atlanta and its listeners for their generosity and wonderful support over the years."
