An Atlanta woman was so moved by the poverty she saw when traveling in Africa in 2009, she pledged to help.
Now, for the second year, Sarah Buchanan's non-profit The Kula Project is partnering with 16 Atlanta restaurants to help needy families in Rwanda.
Kula means 'to eat' in Swahili.
This Thursday, August 14, 2014, 20% of sales from the participating restaurants will benefit Rwandan farmers through her non-profit. The goal is to raise $20,000 to help needy African families.
