Senior Source: DNA Test scam costing Medicare millions

Seniors being asked by scammers to take DNA test to detect cancer are getting Medicare numbers for fraudulent claims and its sweeping the nation.

ATLANTA — There are new scams targeting seniors that are sweeping the country, and it's costing Medicare a fortune.

If a family member has had cancer and you're offered a free DNA test, watch out! They will ask for your Medicare number and you may never get the results.  It's a racket to rip off Medicare, using Medicare numbers for a variety of fraudulent claims. 

AARP says these con artists are even visiting senior centers.

Also keep a close eye out for counterfeit drugs sold on the internet and anti-aging products that may not work.
